👤Do I need to create an account?

No. There are no accounts, sign-ups or passwords. My ToDo List uses the iCloud account you're already signed into on your device, so you can start adding notes the moment you open the app.

🔒Where is my data stored?

Everything lives in your own private iCloud account and syncs between your devices through Apple. There is no company server holding your notes — we can't see them, and there's nothing to sign up for.

👥How does list sharing work?

Create a list (for example "Family", "Trip" or "Work") and send an invite link to the people you want in it. Only the people you send that link to can join, and everyone on the list sees updates live.

All your other lists stay completely private — sharing one list never exposes the rest.

📅Why does the app ask for Calendar permission?

Only so it can add an event when you tap the calendar button on a note. Nothing is read or written to your calendar otherwise, and you can decline the permission and keep using the rest of the app normally.

🔔Why does the app ask for Notification permission?

To show a lock-screen reminder for tasks that are due today. Reminders clear themselves automatically once a task is completed or deleted, and you can turn notifications off at any time in Settings.

🗑️What happens to completed or deleted notes?

They move to Trash and stay there for 30 days, so you can always get something back. After 30 days they're removed automatically — or you can empty the Trash manually whenever you like.

✨How do I use the AI quick-add feature?

Tap the ✨ button and type a plain-language request such as "buy groceries tomorrow at 4pm and add it to my calendar" — the app works out the date, the time and what you meant.

This feature needs your own API key for Google Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic Claude, which you enter in Settings. It's entirely optional: every other part of the app works without a key.

🔄My iPhone and Mac aren't syncing — what should I check?

First, make sure both devices are signed into the same iCloud account. Then check that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings on each device, and that they have a working internet connection.
